Corbera

Since 1971, Cantina Corbera’s growers have carefully tended their grapes from Valle del Belìce making high quality wines, perfect for any occasion and enjoyed in Italy as well as abroad.
The 1,900 hectares of vineyard are located in the Belìce Hills between Santa Margherita di Belìce and Montevago in province of Agrigento, and Contessa Entellina close to Palermo.

The growing conditions consist of both fertile soil and the best the Mediterranean climate has to offer for cultivating vines. The excellent growing conditions, according to Corbera’s agronomist, combined with the growers’ knowledge and expertise have produced a fantastic new product line named “Le Contrade”.

Arcera is located in Contessa Entellina area, in the province of Palermo, at 350-meters above sea level. The soil is typically clay and the vineyards are exposed to the South East. This provides the ideal range of temperatures, varying from day to night, resulting in a superior ripening process. Here, they grow Corbera Nero d’Avola grapes.

Corbera and Le Contrade lines represent the company’s philosophy; It’s a guarantee for consumers choosing every day Cantina Corbera wines. The best grapes from native wines such as Catarratto, Inzolia, Grillo and Nero d’Avola along with the International Chardonnay and Syrah are carefully grown in terrains with particular microclimates. After the harvest time the grapes are brought to the winery for vinification at controlled temperature and ageing prior to bottling to become the Corbera wines.
